Sal Sciacchitano Born in Detroit - Started playing the Alto Saxophone at the age of ten. He has been performing professionally for over four decades. He plays Saxophones, (Alto, Tenor, Soprano, & Baritone) Flute, Congas, and other percussion instruments, and also sings. His background in music includes playing in Concert, Marching, and Stage bands in high school. He received his Musical Training at Macomb Community College/Warren Michigan, where he Minored in Music and performed in the jazz lab band. Sal graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Broadcasting/Communications. He has played Weddings, Parties, Shows, and Fund Raising events. He performed in Detroit and suburbs with groups such as Bland Allison, Sound Investment, & Horizons. Toured with show group "John Amore & the Love Machine". Sal prefers to play Smooth Jazz, but feels comfortable playing just about any style, and is versed in Smooth Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Rock, Popular, Nostalgia, and Gospel music. He plays from the heart, and his music has a soulful sound. His first Smooth Jazz Music CD Release"Saxy Feelin'"includes 6 of his Original compositions and 3 favorite Cover Songs
